The hammock-style composter "Garbage-in" consists of two parts: a container and an inner bag.
You put bamboo powder into the inner bag and put your daily food waste in it.
The soft parts of food waste are wrapped up in bamboo powder,
gradually shrinking and disappearing in a few days. This is due to the action of microorganisms.
The conditions of humidity and temperature have the major influence
on decomposition of food waste.
The state of bamboo powder is constantly changing,
which depend on the moisture and the heat generated by decomposition of food waste.
If you can keep the bamboo powder at an appropriate humidity,
you may maintain an environment where microorganisms can live.
Seven features of "Garbage-in"
1. Hammock style - part 1 The inner bag containing bamboo powder is suspended on a hammock inside the container.
The heat and the humidity inside the bag become higher than the surrounding area as food waste decomposes.
But, because of the hammock style, moisture vapor is released to the surrounding area.
2. Hammock style - part 2 The inner bag itself can be rotated with little force while still on the hammock,
and the entire contents (bamboo powder + food waste) are easily mixed.
In addition the 60cm opening of the inner bag is large enough to see inside.
3. Waterproof breathable fabric Both the outside cover and the inner bag of Garbage-in are made of waterproof breathable fabric
which repels water while allowing moisture vapor to escape.
The moisture vapor generated by the decomposition of food waste is naturally discharged outside.
And the humidity inside can be kept at a moderate level.
4. Insect prevention Many people are troubled by insect infestations when using a composter.
This is because black soldier flies, mainly, come out inside the container
without you realizing it and are very unpleasant to look at.
Garbage-in is designed to make it difficult for black soldier flies to occur.
It cannot completely prevent them, but early detection will minimize their occurrence.

5. Lightweight and durable aluminum frame The container has an aluminum frame that is durable and long-lasting.
It can support the inner bag containing bamboo powder firmly even if it gets heavy.
When moving the heavy container, please remove the inner bag before moving it.
6. Legs The container has 4 legs of 8cm high.
They make a space under the container to release moisture vapor easily.
The legs are screw-type and the height can be adjusted.
Some tool such as a wrench is required.
The height is maximum when delivered.
7. Bamboo powder Bamboo powder is used as the base material.
The fine bamboo powder provides a comfortable habitat for microorganisms.
These bamboos are cut to tidy up rough bamboo forests.
